April 15th marks the 10 year anniversary of Joey Ramone's death, frontman of one of the most influential Punk Rock bands. Whlle being extremely popular in the world of American Punk Rock, The Ramones achieved only minor commercial success.
As The Ramones began to grow more popular, they made their movie debut in Rock 'N' Roll High School, a Roger Corman film about a high school student hoping to meet Joey to show him the song she wrote which had the title as the movie.

Although The Ramones performed at the sixth Lollapalooza Festival in 1996, their last studio album was ¡Adios Amigos! which was released in 1995; the same year Joey was diagnosed with his illness. After announcing that they planned to disband if the album was not successful, the album sales were unremarkable. It spent just two weeks on the lower end of the Billboard chart. Joey Ramone later died of Lymphoma in a New York Hospital after his seven year battle.

The Ramones Raw, Loud and Intense feeling can still be felt.
